Privacy Policy
Design Snap does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data. All page analysis happens 100% locally in your browser. Nothing you visit, read or extract is ever sent to a server.
What Design Snap analyzes — and where
When you press Extract, Design Snap reads the colors, typography, shadows, CSS variables and DOM structure of the page in your active tab only. This analysis runs entirely inside your browser, on your machine. The extension has no backend: there is no server to send anything to.
Data we collect
None. Design Snap has no accounts, no user profiles, no telemetry, no analytics, and no third-party libraries. We never see the sites you visit, the tokens you extract, or anything else about your browsing.
Local storage
Two things are saved on your device, using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API — and never leave it:
- Snapshots: the design-token extractions you choose to save.
- PRO license key: if you purchase PRO, your key is stored locally so the extension can stay activated.
Uninstalling the extension deletes this data.
Permissions
Design Snap requests the minimum set of Chrome permissions needed to work:

Third-party services
The extension can make exactly two kinds of network calls, both optional to its core function:
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com/fonts.gstatic.com) — used only to render the theme preview with the real typefaces detected on a page. Only the names of detected font families are transmitted — never the page URL, its content, or your history. - Polar (
polar.sh) — used only to validate, activate or deactivate a PRO license key. Only the key itself is transmitted. Payments are processed entirely by Polar; Design Snap never sees your payment details.
Analytics and tracking
There are none. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no fingerprinting, no error reporting services, and no third-party JavaScript of any kind inside the extension.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Design Snap changes how data is handled, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised before the version ships.
